It's raining SunShine!

This is probably something that I should leave for my Mother to add to her blog, but I was so impressed and pleased with my father, I had to add it to mine too. It was sometime last year that my Dad and younger brothers began to really get into archery and planning to go hunting with their bows. This last weekend, my Dad and my brother in-law went hunting up Snake River in Wyoming, and my Dad shot a 5X5 bull elk!!! He was really excited, and now says, “I’m a real hunter now!” Good Job Dad!! The other two pictures are of Jaxon in the lion costume that my mother-in-law got for him. They are so cute, and we can’t wait for Halloween, neither can Nanna Ormsby!!
My brother came up to visit us on the 19th, and it was so good to have him in our home. We were most impressed at how Jaxon loved to be with his Uncle. Jason is such a great Uncle, and is so caring and loving to his little nephew. It was Friday morning while I was still asleep; Jason was awake with Jaxon and watched him for me. It is so great to have family around. My mother was in Utah as well that week, as Jenny needed some help watching her son, beautiful little Hayden T. Carter!! Thursday after my classes, we all were able to sit and visit with each other in Midvale, and we went to a great little diner together. Even though Mike is still gone, I have really felt close to my immediate family, and feel that I must reach out more often to ensure that everyone is alright.
Saturday my wife’s family went to Lagoon, and Jason was invited to come along with us. We had such a good time there! They have a few new rides since I was last there…and they were all incredible!! We were really upset that we didn’t bring the camera, but the memories were great! Jaxon went through the Haunted House with his Uncle Andrew, who is so great with his nephew, and little Jaxon didn’t even cry! Andrew just acted like everything was amazing and was like, “Wow, look at that!” Jaxon loved it!!
Even the rain didn’t dampen our spirits! We all got really wet, but really got soaked on a ride called Rattlesnake Rapids! When we couldn’t ride anymore rides, or possibly get any more wet, we went down to the covered tables and ate at the All-You-Can-Eat hotdog party that was being thrown by my mother-in-laws work. Actually, that was the reason that we were down at Lagoon anyway. I think sometime later this week we are going to the Circus…and we won’t forget the camera!! Love you guys!! Hope everyone and everything is great!!!!

Disneyland Trip March 2007 - Head & Ormsby (1 of 3)

In March 0f 2007, we took a family trip to Disneyland, CA for a Spring Break! It was a blast, and it was a much needed break from life! We had so much fun together. Andrew, my brother-in-law, brought his then girlfriend now wife with us, and it was great to get to know her. We spent three days in Disneyland, and Jaxon was so good! We were impressed by how well he handled the 14 hour drive to California...in fact Angela lost it before Jaxon did. :) It was great, and we missed Disneyland for a while after we made it back home. I would dare say that a tradition was in the making. We probably won't be able to go for awhile, but it sure was fun while it lasted!!!

Download your pics often, or you'll be sorry!!!!

I was downloading some pictures from my camera and video camera, and I was amazed at how many pictures that I had taken! There were pictures from my brother-in-law's wedding in Idaho Falls, ID, and I had taken some pictures of Jaxon with my Grandparents (my father's parents), and some of Angela...that I liked very much!! Even Jaxon got his hands on my camera. These were all so good, I just had to add them to my blog. I hope everyone enjoys them...cause I sure do!!!

Double your pleasure, Double your fun....

Love to everyone who happens upon this literary snippet into my life!! Trust me, it is welcomed, and love to share the good news!! I hope you all had an incredible and fun Labor Day weekend, and were able to spend a lot of time with those whom you love. Angela and I sure had a good weekend! Angela and I celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary!!! Nanna and Poppa Ormsby (Angela’s parent’s) volunteered to watch Jaxon Saturday night; which enabled Angela and I to have a very pleasant evening. We went out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant, had frozen yogurt shakes, then we enjoyed the news that BYU beat Arizona. We didn’t get to sleep in, due in part to Angela’s cousin who had baby blessing in Draper, but it was still a great weekend!
After the blessing, we were so excited to pick Jason up at the airport! He had been in Alaska all summer long, and we were so excited to see him, but we were in for a surprise. In place of our dear brother, Grizzly Adams came out the gate! Jason had a very bushy goatee and hair that was longer than it had been in a very long time…I must say that he pulled off the look very well. Jaxon was a little nervous at first, but Jason knew that if he were patient and loving, it wouldn’t take long for Jaxon to go to him. He was right, it wasn’t even two hours later that Jaxon was just as comfortable in his arms as he was in Daddy’s arms.
Jenny was at the airport too, and we all went out to dinner at Golden Corral in Midvale. It was so great to all be together again, we were still missing Mike, but it was nice to be thinking of him together. We all went to ROSS to get Jason some new clothes; clothes that didn’t smell of Alaska…you know the kind. Then we watched the movie “Wild Hogz,” which was very funny. We was getting late, so we left Jenny’s house, and Jason came with us back to Pleasant Grove, UT to spend the night. Mom and Dad (Paul and Gale Head) came up early Monday afternoon, and we all went out to eat at Bahijo’s, a very fun Mexican restaurant were we were disgusted, and thoroughly entertained, to watch this young woman on a date, shoveling food in her gaping mouth with a fork in each hand!! It was amazing; I had never seen anybody put food away like that! Bravo!! Then everybody came back to our humble house to watch a movie before I had to go to work. I work Grave’s at a local Assisted Living Facility in American Fork, UT.
Jaxon is growing up so fast, and getting into everything! He displays a voracious curiosity that propels him into every knok and cranny. Neither pot nor pan is safe from this boy!
Angela is training for the St. George Marathon in October, and is doing really well. Just this last weekend, she ran 15 miles!!! She still has a ways to go, but is determined, motivated, supported, and driven to succeed! She is training with her father and sister, and is doing so well. We are all very proud of her!
As some might know, I am currently attending a Nursing program in Draper, UT. I love what I am doing, and I couldn’t be more excited about my future career!
We love you all, even those who don’t check the family blogs! Be safe, have fun, love each other, work hard, and play even harder!! Until next time! Love Kitch, Angela and little Jaxon!
